Two injured in Abu Dhabi after drone debris falls on Day 10 of Iran attacks
Interception operations continue as authorities monitor security developments
ABU DHABI – Authorities in the UAE capital on Monday confirmed the falling of debris in two locations of the capital after successful interception by air defence systems.
The incidents led to two injuries, with the first being a minor injury to a Jordanian national and the second a moderate injury to an Egyptian national.
Authorities said the debris fell following the interception of drones by air defence systems in Abu Dhabi.

Authorities in the UAE have repeatedly alerted residents with sirens during similar incidents and said booming sounds heard across the Emirates resulted from successful air defence interceptions. Teams continue to monitor the situation and take measures to ensure public safety.
Iran attacks
Over the past 10 days, the emirate has witnessed several similar incidents, along with the cities of Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
On March 5, Abu Dhabi authorities confirmed six people were injured after drones were intercepted in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD) area on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, on March 1, a woman and her child were injured after debris from an intercepted drone struck Etihad Towers. The incident also caused minor material damage.
Earlier the same day, a drone attack hit Zayed International Airport, resulting in one death and seven injuries.
